Premier Inn, Sunderland

Works included remedials to the existing Premier Inn, Sunderland associated with water ingress and internal damage to finishes.   

Originally constructed as a light weight structure, major water ingress had occurred in and around the rendered portions of the envelope. Investigations proved that multiple defects existed behind the decorative grills and render interfaces.   

Using Cradles suspended from the roof, external rainscreens were removed and repairs carried out to the incomplete / defective elements behind.   

Works were carefully coordinated with the Premier site team, to ensure that occupied rooms were not affected by noise and privacy.   

Once the external works were completed, water damage works were carried out in all affected rooms and landlord areas, again with zero disruption to occupants and staff.
