Nagel Group is a market leading service provider of Chilled & Frozen Food Distribution. Recognized as the largest and most comprehensive food logistics network in Europe they continue to strengthen their facilities across the UK.  

As Principal Contractor, Unite was appointed to manage the fit-out of Nagel Group’s latest Temperature Controlled Warehousing complex in Liverpool, constructed to enlarge and replace the existing facility in Knowsley.   

With 15 dock leveller bays, over 5,000 pallets are handled on a computerised system to ensure delivery of product via computerised HGV’s.  Products needed to be stored at temperatures ranging from +3 to -25C within the facility. 

All operations were closely monitored by staff located in the 4,000sqft office space at the south end of the unit.  Further facilities include a HGV wash facility along with the installation of a 1,000kva Generator and Housing.
